REDUCING PLASTICS

We use recycled and / or recycable plastic. We deliver without a plastic bag as much as possible. Plastic packaging is sometimes unavoidable to protect the shirt. This plastic packaging is then made of recycled plastic and is also recycable again. Extra material to protect the collar has been replaced by paper variants made from plant waste products.

In addition to this, we are socially involved and we guarantee the well-being of our employees.

REDUCING MATERIALS AND TRANSPORT

We help reduce transport movements by consolidating freight from Macedonia with other companies and by consolidating stock deliveries from our own warehouse.

We have our own production facility in North Macedonia. Here we work according to the Amfori-BSCI procedure. This is an international quality mark for fair production. Watch the video of the production process here.

REDUCING RAW MATERIAL CONSUMPTION

We limit electricity consumption by using LED lighting in all our work areas. We limit paper consumption through digitization. We limit and separate our waste.

In addition to the reduction of raw materials, we also pay attention to the reduction of transport movements.

FAIR PRODUCTION

We ensure fair production in our own European factory in North Macedonia. In this context we follow the procedure of Amfori-BSCI, an international quality mark for fair production. With this we exclude child labor, long working days, low wages and unsafe working conditions.

The factory works under fair conditions with a competitive salary for the employees. Employees have the option of joining a trade union. Training courses are offered to give employees the opportunity to develop further.

In addition to our own checks, the Macedonian government regularly carries out mandatory checks to ensure the safety of employees.

ABOUT THE SOCIETY

We encourage and support sports. For more than 30 years, the Van Winkel Fashion brand Ledûb has been the main sponsor of the equally named volleyball club.

We support aid projects, directly and indirectly. Donating “overstock” is an example of this.

The youth has the future. In that context, we offer internships to give students the opportunity to work on training and development. We are a stable employer with a longstanding commitment to employee welfare in all its facets.
